Pune is blessed with a number of hills in all directions. To facilitate planned growth, the development control rules of the city have declared all hills and hillslopes as no development zones. However on account of lax implementation of bye-laws, illegal construction and loopholes in the law, several constructions were coming up on hilltop and hillslopes in and around Pune.

Parisar with other NGO's in the city took up campaigns to stop such developments. In this the campaigns for Symbiosis Hill and the Law College Hill-Survey No 44 Erandwane were particularly important and helped to raise Public Awareness on this important subject.
