"Do mega projects create environmental refugees?" are questions of concern for all social scientists and political thinkers.

Convinced that mega dams cause human, social and environmental damage far in excess of short term benefits, Parisar has actively supported people's struggles like the Narmada Bachao Andolan and highlighted issues of environment Vs development in order to bring out that development at the cost of the environment is not development but destruction.
